Was the bombing of Iran necessary?

In almost every major event involving the Government, the information has been inaccurate or politically biased, so my intent again, is to attempt to summarize the relevant facts to determine if the Government was justified.

  1. War should always be avoided through diplomacy if possible
  2. The IAEA said that Iran had reached 60% enrichment which is in violation of the non-proliferation agreement since it can be readily enriched to 90% and then used in a nuclear weapon.
  3. 3 nuclear enrichment sites were bombed, but Iran moved the Uranium prior to the bombing so radiation was not released into the atmosphere, but the IAEA has not been allowed to verify if there has been any contamination.
  4. There are 14 sites in total, and 3 others can still be used for enrichment and presumably, the uranium at the 3 sites still exists and can be enriched.
  5. Iran has 80 million people which is about the size of Germany
  6. Iran is part of the BRIC alliance which includes Russia and China and has sent arms to Russia in support of their illegal War against Ukraine
  7. Although Iran has threatened to destroy Israel, no country has used Nuclear weapons since WW2 because they fear retaliation and the use of Nuclear weapons could be catastrophic to all
  8. There has been various demands made which include; stopping enrichment, regime change and surrender which creates confusion about the endgame. Extended war with Iran would result in an extreme loss of life, so the focus should be on stopping enrichment capabilities since only 5% enrichment is needed for Power generation.
  9. The action was done without approval from Congress which shows a regular pattern of Constitutional violations by Trump
  10. The UN and IAEA said this was a grave escalation that could lead to further nuclear proliferation
  11. The CIA said that the 3 nuclear facilities targeted were severely damaged and would take years to repair but a UN watchdog said it could only take a few months
  12. A ceasefire was declared between Iran and Israel.
