Tackling Corruption in the US Government

Corruption has worsened in the US due to many factors, so below is a list of the key issues to correct since many of these actions are unconstitutional, illegal or constitute gross negligence.

  1. Spying on US citizens without a warrant is prohibited but still being done on a massive scale by the Gov/Big tech due to new tech (AI/5G/Starlink) and FISA. It is unconstitutional and gives an unfair advantage to political insiders and the wealthy, so it should be ended and taxpayer money should not be spent on these programs.
  2. The budget and staff of agencies of consumer protection agencies such as the FAA, FCC, FTC, etc should not be hired/fired by partisans like Elon Musk or the Executive branch and should be free to conduct oversight as needed in a non-partisan manner.
  3. The DOJ/FBI are a check/balance of the Executive and Legislative branch should be independent and non-partisan. Partisan attacks on Justices, law firms, citizens and law enforcement officials doing there job or telling the truth should be stopped.
  4. Campaign finance reform is urgently needed to limit individual contributions by big business and the wealthy in Government
  5. Changes in government spending should require a 3/5 majority in Congress and should not be done by a partisan Billionaire.
  6. We have a record National debt due to historically low top tax rates and excessive spending, so the top tax rate should be raised to 40%, a billionaire surtax added and tax breaks for the wealthy ended (ie stock options) before Federal employees are fired
  7. Russia illegally invaded Ukraine, while Trump falsely claimed Zelenskyy was at fault. The US should not support international criminals.
  8. AP news and Reuters was barred from the White House press briefing while the Russian state news TASS was allowed in. Trump is aligning with an international criminal that we have fought against throughout the past few decades.
  9. Delaware is modifying state law by limiting the court’s scrutiny of deals and access to corporate records to accommodate Musk, Zuckerberg, Andreesen, and others in an attempt to prevent Big tech from being accountable for unconstitutional mass surveillance and copyright infringement.
  10. Executives Orders are being used to bypass Congress and are an unconstitutional Executive overreach that should be limited or overturned in court.
  11. Buying votes is illegal, yet it is being done blatantly by Elon Musk and others.
  12. Prohibiting or discouraging vaccines which prevent illness and death amounts to criminal negligence by the Government.
  13. Insider trading is illegal so Government employees and those dealing with them should not be able to actively profit from the stock market.
  14. Federal employees should only be fired for just cause or by congressional approval if it is for cost cutting. Efficiency improvements should not impact services.
  15. The President cannot accept personal gifts from foreign governments (ie Jet from Quatar) since it is unconstitutional. It must become government property or returned.
  16. Executive pardons should be restricted since it circumvents the criminal justice system.
  17. Trump fired the BLS director after the jobs data release to allow him to fabricate results which should be reversed since people need accurate data to make economic decisions
  18. Trump is planing to have NASA destroy functional and beneficial satellites used to track the level of CO2 in the atmosphere to promote his false narrative on climate change.
  19. The National guard deployment in LA, DC and Chicago are examples of executive overreach and should be restricted.
