I review the news each morning to stay abreast of what is going on around the world and find the media has gotten much worse in the past few years. They often repeat some cookie cutter press release without providing any investigative journalism or they exclude stories about important subjects entirely. Some of the key topics that seem to be missing lately are;

• Airline incidences in 2025 are all reported as maintenance issues or “under investigation by the NTSB” without any push-back
• Massive system outages are often reported as a systems error without any push-back
• Directed energy weapons are being developed and used around the globe and can damage aircraft and threaten the public but are not discussed as a potential cause of aircraft incidences.
• DEWs use microwaves to down missiles and planes, yet 5G and microwave satellites are reportedly safe?
• AI is producing deep fakes and spreading false information at an astonishing rate without any push-back or AI regulation
• Quantum computing is now done on chips without any discussion of the security issues involved
• All the big tech firms are able to read minds wirelessly using AI/LLM models which creates a massive privacy, IP theft, and insider advantage, yet it is mostly unreported
• Wars in Ukraine and Gaza continue while negotiations go nowhere, yet there is little push-back about the lack of recriminations for Russia or Israel

To understand why this is happening, I looked at the top media companies that have the most readers to understand more about the companies, ownership and alliances. Although there are many smaller media companies, they represent the most viewed media at the moment.

• CNN/Time Warner
• News corp/Fox
• Google
• Meta/Facebook/Instagram

All of them show political bias of some form and tend to exclude the issues above for the most part. Is it because large companies are more vulnerable to political pressure or Is it that they exchange favorable reporting for favoritism?

The media continues to be taken over by big tech and the wealthy so they can censor the press from reporting on the issues above and promote their self interests and the media continues to be attacked by the Government to force favorable reporting. This cannot continue since a free press is needed to check the Government.

The best reporting is often from smaller, independent or foreign news services, so I have taken to reading them more often and hope the larger companies evolve to be more customer-focused.
