There have been rapid advances in Artificial General Intelligence, so it is important to understand what it is, what it can do, and the potential benefits/issues so they can be addressed. Although AGI can have many benefits, it remains unregulated yet capable of significant harm. Big tech believes that AI supremacy requires the rapid development of AI programs and regulation would slow this effort, but I believe that is foolish and unnecessary.

• AGI can control weapons and cause harm or it can access homes, cars, planes, electrical grids, air traffic control systems, communication systems, etc and cause harm
• AGI can be replicated relatively easily and it has already proliferated to xAI, OpenAI, Palantir, Google, Meta, Anthropic, China, India, etc which gives these companies access to very dangerous systems and is leading to unlawful and unconstitutional behaviors like privacy invasion, intellectual property theft, cybercrimes, etc.
• Cybercrimes-AGI can spy on anyone/anywhere and access/retrieve data quickly without consent or crediting the developers. It can conduct denial of service attacks, ransomware, data corruption, financial theft, etc. and allow hackers to code malicious software
• Internet manipulation-AGI can manipulate social media views/likes, change web articles, distort elections/polls, create deep fakes, etc
• Brain Reading-your mind and body can be read and manipulated wirelessly with AI using 5G and Starlink. This is very dangerous and is already being done by XAI, OpenAI, Google, Meta, Amazon and others.
• Job losses can be significant
• Insider trading, Insider business advantage and stock manipulation can occur with AGI. The wealthy have access to advanced AI and the public often gets biased answers them
• Illegal or Unconstitutional activity will increase unless regulated and enforced
• AI can manipulate Microwave radiation from 5G/cell towers/satellites and cause respiratory issues, fatigue, tinnitus, inflammation, burns and other illnesses
• AGI will be biased to the developer and can stifle new product/business growth and innovation.
• Quantum computing will magnify these issues by bypassing current encryption methods. Quantum chips are already developed by Google, Microsoft, IBM and others.
• AGI Power consumption is extremely high which will slow decarbonization efforts and increase electric bills
• Like most products, AGI will be designed to make a profit which is often contrary to the best interest of the public, so it must be regulated
